The man 'both tall and tall' is unique in medical history

Adam Rainer has been named the only person in history to be classified as both short and tall because he has a big head disease.

Adam Rainer was born in the city of Graz (Austria). Rainer's parents and brothers are perfectly normal, he is not. The man born in 1899 was identified with a disease called To head (Acromrgaly).

When the First World War broke out, Rainer intended to enlist but at a height of 138cm, he was considered too short and weak. A year later, he again asked to join the army, despite being 6cm tall and in good health, the army still rejected Rainer because of his modest height.

At 19, Adam Rainer is considered a typical dwarf with a height of 143cm, 4cm lower than the average height of that time of 147cm.

At the age of 21, everything changed, Rainer completely molested when suddenly increasing in height at a dizzying speed. Within the next decade, his height increased from 147cm to 218cm. Because of this change, Rainer's health is badly affected. He had severe scoliosis.

Between 1930 and 1931, two doctors, A. Mandl and F. Windholz, decided to test Adam Rainer and detect the disease of Headache - a rare disease. The culprit caused his sudden development of a tumor in the pituitary gland, which caused the growth hormone to release too much. The tumor makes the patients' limbs unusually large, the forehead and chin protrude, the lips are thick, the teeth are not tight.

According to Businessinsider, the two doctors decided to operate on Rainer despite knowing the success rate was very low because the tumor had developed in a decade. Several months after surgery, they re-measured Rainer's height. His height did not increase but scoliosis became more serious. Rainer had to wear his own oversized shoes. The body weight of 109 kg made him very difficult to move, the hand length of 23.9 cm and the foot of 33.3 cm.

The doctors realized that Rainer continued to grow in height but at a slower pace. Adam Rainer's health began to subside. He lost his ability to see with his right eye and lost hearing in the left ear. Over time, the deformity in the spine became apparent, causing Rainer to be bedridden. In 1950, he died with a height of 2.33 m, 51 years old.

So far, Adam Rainer has been named the only person in history to be classified as both short and tall, or a giant mutant.
