The Ministry of Science launched a technology innovation competition

In order to encourage applied technologies to meet the needs of life, the Ministry of Science and Technology and the units have launched the "Innovative technology for daily life" competition.

The competition aims to encourage inventive activities, create technologies with wide applicability, easy and low cost to meet the practical needs of life, contributing to the sustainable development of Local community, as well as the general development of the country, Deputy Minister of Science and Technology Tran Van Tung talked about the purpose of the Ministry and related units to organize the competition.

Every Vietnamese citizen who resides, lives and works in the territory of Vietnam has a technical solution that is subject to patent protection, at one time created or first launched in Vietnam after the 31st. December 12, 2008 and not yet participated in the patent contest in 2013, can register to attend.

First prize in the contest is worth 100 million VND; a second prize of VND 50 million; a third prize worth VND30 million and 12 consolation prizes for technical solutions selected to the final round, with a value of VND 10 million each. The prizes are all accompanied by medals and certificates of WIPO Intellectual Property Organization.

Final round and contest award ceremony is expected to be held at the end of November this year. Time limit for receiving patent applications starts from July 30 to September 30, 2014.
