Currently, no asteroids are threatening Earth, but recently, the Internet spread information about the 490- meter Apophis asteroid that will hover around the Earth at a distance of several hundred thousand miles by 2036.

The catastrophe between asteroids and the earth has been predicted to have occurred and caused the destruction of dinosaurs. Concerned about the recurrence of this disaster, scientists have discussed the containment solutions together and they have come up with some ideas.

The Russian side is considering sending spacecraft to a large asteroid to track its path and prevent the possibility of the asteroid colliding with the earth.

ESA, 2005 launched the "Don Quijote" concept that involves firing an impactor into a "test" asteroid in 2015 to see if it deflects asteroids. At the same time, the ESA also focused on the exploration of asteroids in order to make a timely alarm by a specially built telescope system, astronomers and collaboration with outside agencies. like the Asteroid Center of the Smithsonian Institution and the World Security Organization.

NASA in July 2005 also sent a probe to impact the comet Tempel 1 in an experiment to deflect objects threatening Earth.

Adjusting the asteroid's pathway can be done by covering it with a white plastic layer. If detected far enough away from the incident, the effect of the sun's rays is enough to shift this "white-painted" asteroid.

Another solution is to use lasers or surface explosions to erode asteroid material.

Some other ideas are to use a super spacecraft to pull asteroids out of its orbit or use sails to harness the solar wind.

The problem is that these methods can only be applied if asteroids are detected early. Moving the planet bit by bit with measures will take about 20 years.

If the "menace" suddenly appeared within a month, humans had almost no solution. Fortunately, most of the large asteroids hovering near the Earth are discovered.

However, small planets with a diameter of 300-400m can also cause damage at the continental level. That's why the asteroid's "bombardment" programs are still being researched by scientists to continue to propose more solutions in an urgent situation.
