People in the neighborhood told her she was a woman who loved garbage. In the days when there was not enough rubbish, she went around the city asking for rubbish to bring home to prepare dishwashing liquid and water. She said, to me, that garbage is seeing money.

The full name of the 'delusional woman ' is Trinh Thi Hong, residing in Quarter 5, Hoa Minh ward, Lien Chieu district, Da Nang.

In the memory, she still remembers the opportunity to take her to the model of turning waste into a useful product. She said, "This model she learned was very good when she attended the training program 'Developing an urban poor in Asia' in Thailand in 2012."

Starting to collect rubbish for testing , the first time, she failed continuously. After every failure, she pulled out many useful things. Just like that, the experiment lasted for several months to succeed.

Raw materials for processing waste into cleaning solutions include vegetable waste, water, sugar and plastic containers.

Trash is shortened to about 3 cm, mixed well with the remaining ingredients in a 30-day closed container.

After 30 days, the solution was separated from the yellow corpse.The solution will be filtered through cotton wool several times before incubating for another 45 days with deodorizing and coloring preparations.

Ms. Hong said, materials for processing garbage into cleaning solutions include 3kg of vegetable waste (leaves, vegetables, tubers, fruits, .) washed, cut short about 3 cm; 10 kg of plain water and 300 grams of mixed starch sugar and incubated in a closed container for 30 days. At the end of this stage, the yellow crude solution will be obtained, which can be used immediately but the disadvantage still has an unpleasant smell.

To remove odors and create color , incubate for another 45 days with eggplant, starch technology to produce perfect washing and cleaning solutions. This is the most difficult stage, so far only Hong has successfully handled.

According to Ms. Hong, turning waste into bleaching and washing solution is very useful for all families, saving both cost and health benefits. More importantly, through this model, people join hands to collect waste thereby making the living environment cleaner.

Replication of know-how

With great effects from the waste treatment model to be a useful product, Ms. Hong does not keep her own secret but brings this formula to train women associations in Hoa Minh ward. Up to now, 31 districts in Hoa Minh ward know how to process waste into dishwashers and clean the house.

Ms. Huynh Thi Le, Chairwoman of Hoa Minh Ward Women's Union, said: 'The process of processing waste into cleaning solutions is not complicated, so we have opened training courses for women in the ward, coming soon. next will introduce the city scale '.

Dishwashing liquid products and home cleaning finished after 75 days of processing.

Preparations made by Ms. Hong can wash dishes, clean the house and household appliances.

Not only treating waste into a useful product, she also applied to establish a waste treatment cooperative to solve jobs for people.

According to Ms. Bui Thi Kim Van - a resident of Hoa Minh ward, people left to dump their fruits and vegetables all over the place. Since learning Hong's model, people have automatically collected garbage . Each family is equipped with several plastic containers for composting. After the first stage of incubation, the solution was brought to Mrs. Hong to produce finished products to bring back and use.

'For more than 1 year, my family has not spent any money on chemical detergents. Garbage collected is very clean. Using the solution made by Mrs. Hong for safe hand skin, I am very assured '- Ms. Van said.

Currently, Ms. Hong is proposing to the government to set up a 'Cooperative Group ' to expand the waste treatment model into a useful product. This 'cooperative group' will be responsible for creating dishwashing liquid products, cleaning solutions, jobs for 13 local workers, contributing to environmental protection in residential areas.

'The model of turning garbage into cleaning and cleaning solutions is invented by a German non-governmental organization. In the near future, this organization will go to Vietnam to re-evaluate its effectiveness to have support for replication ' - Ms. Hong said.

According to Ms. Le, due to not registering production and business certificate, the product has not yet been sold to the market. In the immediate future, the Women's Union of Hoa Minh ward will coordinate with Ms. Hong to set up sales stalls in the area. In addition, the Association will call on women, the mass organizations to use products as gifts for relatives and friends to spread widely to all families.
