Picture 1 of The World Cup virus appeared again
Sophos said the W32 / Zasran-A computer worm is distributed primarily through e-mails written in German titled ' WM-Tickets ' or ' Weltmeisterschaft '. W32 / Zasran-A is self-dispersed by sending a copy of it to all other addresses in the address book stored on the victim's system.

W32 / Zasran-A worm is hidden in the attachment to emails of this type. If users open this file, the computer worm will be activated, disable security walls and open the door for hackers to steal information on their system or download many other malicious software. .

Zasran-A is the computer worm associated with the second World Cup event discovered in this May. This is a new move to continue the "World Cup Virus season" with the worldwide football festival.

Earlier on May 4, the Baden-Württemberg State Bureau of the Criminal Investigation (LKA) discovered a phishing virus that provided users with information about World Cup matches but in fact Drop a dangerous trojan on the user's system.

Sophos warns users to be really careful during this time when virus threats are increasingly taking advantage of the World Cup event.

But the World Cup is also part of a series of outstanding social events used by hackers to organize attacks on users. This is a trend among cyber criminals - a tendency to take social motives, taking into account the victims' events.
