The most frightening danger on Ramree Island is the saltwater crocodile.

The remote forest on Ramree Island in Myanmar is the most feared enemy of a human being. The saltwater crocodile here can weigh up to 1,000kg and 7m long. According to National Geographic magazine, this is the most human predator in nature.

During the war on Ramree in 1945, British soldiers drove a group of Japanese soldiers into the deep forest. After that, only 500 of the 1,000 Japanese warriors came out of the forest from the other side and the rest were said to be eaten by crocodiles.

The incident is still recorded in the Guinness Book of World Records with the record of "the most dead in a crocodile attack".

Therefore, tourists and local people are advised not to set foot on Ramree island.
