Thousands of sheep migrate across the world's highest lake

Dowa is a small village located on Lake Puma Yumco, in the Qing Tibetan Plateau, China.
After eating the Losar Tet (around February every year), the people of Dowa flock their sheep to two islands in the middle of Puma Yumco Lake for grazing.
They will stay with the sheep for a while, depending on the amount of grass on the island.
At about 5,070m above sea level, Puma Yumco is the highest lake in the world.
Lake Puma Yumco covers an area of about 880 km 2 , which is referred to as the green jewel of the Qing Tibetan Plateau.The main water supply for the lake is from melted snow.
