Using high frequency radio waves to treat chronic pain

According to Dr. Thai Thi Hoa, Head of FV Hospital's Center for Pain Diagnosis and Treatment, the method is mainly used for chronic low back pain and other cases such as spinal pain (neck, chest ), including disk disease, facial pain and head caused by trigeminal nerve, post-traumatic pain in the upper limb, peripheral neuropathy .

Dr. Hoa said, the therapeutic effect of this technique depends on the diagnosis results. If the diagnosis is correct, the results of pain relief over 6 months reach 90%. This method also has some complications such as infection of about 1%, transient numbness, neck numbness of about 20% but self-healing after a few months.

The cost of treating chronic pain with high frequency radio is about 4 million VND / time, not including diagnostic fee. Meanwhile, the price in the US is 10,000-15,000 USD, in Singapore is 2,000-3,000 USD.
