Vegetable cultivation on the roof won the international science gold medal

With their topic, two " teen scientists" who wish to "clean vegetable garden system in urban areas" are widely applied, so that more and more people can eat clean vegetables, ensuring health.

Nguyen Chau Anh 11th grade student High school 1 Hanoi-Amsterdam high school and Nguyen Dang An 11th grade high school Thang Long high school said, started the idea "Clean vegetable planting system on the roof in urban areas "are very simple, because every day they hear their parents complain, go to the market to buy vegetables for their families, not knowing if they are clean vegetables, eating unsafe, high risks to health.

Due to being close to home, the same age group, Châu Anh and Đăng An played together since childhood so it is easy to share, understand each other and the most important thing is to have the same burning passion in scientific research. Therefore, at first, both cherished the idea, then silently discussed the direction of developing the topic, working together. With a small amount of money saved, the two of them saved up to buy things as models.

However, due to lack of funds, Chau Anh and Dang An had to ask for help from their families. When presenting ideas to parents, the two children received both spiritual and material appreciation. Besides, a great motivation is that they are encouraged by the teachers, teachers and friends in the school to help complete the project within seven months.

According to Nguyen Dang An, the idea is that but when implementing many difficulties, they must invest their thoughts and thoughts to find solutions. On May 11, in the Malaysian capital, the model of "Roof-top vegetable planting system in urban areas" was honored with the reward of being a gold medal. The organizers also awarded the gold cup for the model because of the best idea in the same topic and category of participation.

The bright face, with a confident and intelligent way of talking, Nguyen Chau Anh and Nguyen Dang An are both humble, this is an unexpected result.

In addition to scientific research, both students are good students in studying. Teacher Pham Quy Thai, Nguyen Dang An's homeroom teacher is proud to talk about his pupil: Dang An learns all subjects, receives lessons quickly, and gets along with his classmates. In particular, An clearly demonstrates the qualities of a research scientist, always calm and proactive in seeking knowledge.

Mr. Thai added, their topic was awarded the second prize in the contest organized by Vifotec Vietnam Fund in 2012.

And Nguyen Chau Anh, a former valedictorian of Hanoi-Amsterdam specialized school. During the past years, I have been a good student. She is currently the class representative and is participating in the school's Rhetoric Club.

Chau Anh's dream as well as Dang An's will become an environmental scientist. In order to realize the dream of opening the knowledge sky, "progressive couples" are investing a lot of time to improve their knowledge of English and put strength into university exam.

The idea comes from daily life, is an international award, bringing pride not only to family, friends, teachers, but also the nation. This is the greatest achievement that both children have achieved, it will be the fulcrum for Chau Anh and Dang An, continue to study, strive and contribute to the country's science and technology.
