It seems that this scenario is not far away when recently, the MIT technology institute is developing a project called inFORM , allowing users to interact with things remotely as if they were there.

This project was developed by the Tangible Media Group, from the MIT Institute's MIT Media Lab, who used a "desk" of various small feet to simulate an "interactive screen" , user will control this monitor remotely through the reception of the customized Xbox Kinect sensor.
