Vietnam wants to export animal products to control foot and mouth disease. The control has 2 important levels. A level is to control the disease under vaccination conditions and at a higher level of disease control in the absence of vaccination.

Ngo Thanh Long said one of the important tools to control foot and mouth disease is vaccination . The control of foot and mouth disease in Vietnam is not too difficult, but it is necessary to have enough vaccination vaccines with a ratio of over 90% and continuous injections for 5 years. This is the experience from developed countries.

However, according to Mr. Ngo Thanh Long, Vietnam's biggest difficulty is not enough vaccines . Meanwhile, research capacity as well as domestic vaccine production, Vietnam is capable of doing so. Therefore, functional departments need to gather scientists, especially vaccine manufacturing companies, to jointly produce to proactively vaccinate in control of foot and mouth disease.
