Weightlifting helps increase the chances of recovery for breast cancer patients after treatment About 80% of women who exercise weight lifting twice a week show significant improvement in health in a quality survey Living, US researchers said in the study published in the journal Cancer .

The physical and psychological benefits of exercise have been demonstrated through many scientific studies and in practice. However, this is the first study to apply scientific methodology to the investigation of heavy exercise to help women with breast cancer.

In their study, scientists chose women who had been treated for breast cancer and divided them into two groups. Group 1 applies suitable health exercises for 3 months, twice a week to gradually progress to practice weightlifting in the next 3 months. Group 2 does not follow this exercise regime.

Researchers then interviewed both groups about physical well-being, mental happiness, sexual activity and other aspects of life. The results of women in group 1 have improved health and spirit compared to the rest: they feel better, more agile and more confident.
