The most serious error in July appeared in the "Mailslot" element of Windows. The MS06-035 update describes an intruder that could take advantage of that vulnerability to remotely control systems that operate on Windows 2000, Windows XP, and Windows Server 2003.

Another problem with the DHCP (Windows Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol) protocol can also be exploited by hackers with the same method as in "Mailslot". Microsoft has overcome this problem via the MS06-036 newsletter. " Errors handled remotely are always considered very serious because hackers can perform attacks via the Internet without having to interact with users ," Dave Cole, an analyst with Symantec security firm. (USA), commented.

Microsoft also introduced three other updates to solve the 13 problems in the Office office application package, including a common patch for eight vulnerabilities and two Exce l errors that were hacked by hackers.

The Office 2000 installation system is the most compromised because it does not display a dangerous warning when the user opens an e-mail attachment. Office and Excel errors are described in detail in MS06-037 , MS06-038 and MS06-039 .

In addition to the five newsletters dealing with the "very serious" issues mentioned above, the group based in Redmond, Washington, also launched two "important" alerts regarding web servers that install Windows software.MS06-034 fixes an opening that allows an attacker to post an ASP file containing malicious code to control the server. The other newsletter, MS06-033 , allows hackers to spy on content in web server application directories.
