Alcohol is full and not drunk

British scientists are studying a substance that tastes exactly like alcohol but does not cause intoxication in drinkers.

According to the Telegraph, new wines are synthesized from chemicals associated with Valium (a mild sedative), which also affects nerve cells in the brain. Professor David Nutt, a leading expert in pharmaceuticals from London University of Experimental (UK), along with his colleagues is studying this wine.

Synthetic alcohol does not affect the brain areas that control mood changes and is not as addictive as alcohol with alcohol. It is also much more easily pushed out of the body than regular alcohol.

Professor Nutt said that with new wines, people can drink freely without fear of intoxication. It will create a great change for society and improve people's health.

In the future, the team will focus on benzodiazepine chemicals - a group of sedative drugs that inhibit the central nervous system. This group of drugs is used to treat anxiety, insomnia, seizures and muscle spasms.

However, Nutt admits that recommending officials to circulate synthetic alcohol will be a major challenge for the team because the trials will be very expensive. In addition, the professor has not found funding for experiments. Beverage companies are not interested in his research. Nutt hopes some countries - like Greece and Spain - will fund the trials.
