Binh Dinh - Destination of international top scientists

Meeting Vietnam with the birth of the Center for Educational Science Research, Binh Dinh will be an attractive "rendezvous" for domestic and foreign scientists.
The program "Meet Vietnam" took place at the International Center for Interdisciplinary Science and Education (ICISE) Quy Nhon City, Binh Dinh, from June 26 to December 17, with the participation of more than 1,600 representatives. Expressions, including 6 Nobel laureates, a professor won the Fields Medal and many prestigious scientists.
The word "Meet Moriond " to "Meet Vietnam"
Half a century ago, Mr. Tran Thanh Van, a doctor of Vietnamese-based physical science living in France, just 30 years old, had the idea of not organizing a normal scientific conference but wanted to create a new model - the ones meeting. This model will be in a quiet place, everyone in the same place, go skiing, go for a walk, the relationship between physicists - whether it's the Nobel Prize winner or just a young doctor - is easy to take off open, comfortable and humane.
The first "Moriond Meeting" was held in 1966 in Moriond village on the Alps, France. This meeting brings together about 20 young physicists from France, Germany and Itlay, mostly from Paris XI University in Oray. In the morning people meet to hear announcements and arguments about theoretical physics and experimental physics; Afternoon from 13h to 16h go skiing, combining scientific research and tourism sports.
After that, the group of scientists met again until 20:00. After dinner, they exchange science or play guitar and violin. That day, there was not enough money to rent the hotel, Professor Van and his friends went to the market to buy food, cook their own meals and rent the inn.
With a desire to contribute to the country's science, in 1993, Professor Tran Thanh Van founded "Meet Vietnam" . Here young scientists have the opportunity to interact and interact with experienced scientists to learn and create collaborative connections in scientific research.

Why choose Binh Dinh
If "Meeting Moriond " is held in a remote place to gather true lovers and scientific passion, ready to give up all the time to attend conferences and exchanges, then choosing Binh Dinh is the place " Meeting Vietnam " is the same.
Professor Tran Thanh Van chose Quy Hoa, Ghenh Rang ward (Quy Nhon) - in the central province has not developed much because it is not too far from the city center, but has relative isolation so that scientists have space own and dedicated to science, instead of visiting animals.
"If you have a scientific conference in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City or other big cities in Vietnam, there are already many agencies and organizations already doing. The goal of meeting Vietnam is to help scientific development. and education in underdeveloped areas, ' explained Professor Van.
Besides, the introduction of top international scientific conferences on Quy Nhon and Binh Dinh is a way to encourage scientific and educational development in the provinces. Before choosing Binh Dinh, Professor Van surveyed and exchanged views with many localities, but he especially appreciated and appreciated the enthusiasm and understanding the importance of the project from the leaders of Binh Dinh province. especially former Secretary of Provincial Party Committee Vu Hoang Ha at that time.
"We are fortunate to have been chosen to host and meet scientists around the world," said Binh Dinh Provincial Party Committee Secretary.
Educational science projects
International Center for Interdisciplinary Science and Education (ICISE) , founded and operated by Prof. Tran Thanh Van, was inaugurated in 2013, with an investment of US $ 6 million. This is the dedication and dream of 50 years of professorship.
The Center has the function of exchanging and transferring science and technology between Vietnam and other countries, organizing specialized training, providing related science and technology services and services.
Over the years the center has organized many scientific conferences with the participation of many of the world's leading scientists, including many Nobel laureates. The center has become the "nucleus" of scientific development and the destination of world scientists.

Based on this foundation, Vietnam Meeting has asked Binh Dinh to continue to invest in developing science towards the mass, especially children. One of the first steps is the project to establish a scientific space complex. The project has been approved by the Government, Ministry of Science and Technology. This will be a space for discovering science for children and the public, bringing science to the masses and provoking a passion for science and creativity in youth. The scientific complex will develop into Quy Hoa science and education urban area, next to ICISE center.
Binh Dinh province has also approved an investment project to build an advanced Institute of Maths initiated by Professor Ngo Bao Chau.
With the enthusiasm of Professor Van and the support of local leaders, Binh Dinh promises to become a meeting point for high-quality science exchanges and exchanges not only for Vietnam but also for the region.
