Bring your dog to work to reduce stress
A new study claims that bringing your dog to the office can help you reduce stress at work and increase the spirit of work.

Researchers from Virginia Commonwealth University (USA) studied 75 people working at a manufacturing company. Within a week of testing, about 20 to 30 people were allowed to bring dogs to work. These people later said that the feeling of stress in their work was greatly reduced.
Researchers also compared the amount of stress hormones in saliva samples of three groups, including working-group dogs and groups with dogs, but left at home and groups that did not have dogs. The results showed that, in the morning, there was almost no difference between the three groups. However, during the day, the stress level of the dog carrier decreases while increasing in the other two groups.
Randolph Barker, the head of the research team, concluded: 'The difference in stress levels between the days of carrying the dog to work and the days of not carrying the dog is very large'.
