More than 100,000 ancient books that have never been published to the public will be posted online thanks to the Library Library's digital book digitization program. This program focuses on 19th century books. Many of them have never been known and only a few are reprinted after the first print.
The British Library believes that teachers will benefit from having access to these online titles.'Without the new version, teachers will not be able to use them (old books) in their lectures,' said Dr. Kristian Jensen, of the British Library. Every day, about 50,000 pages of books will be scanned and put into computers.

This project will require about 30 terabytes of data to store ' products '. The first 25 million pages of books are expected to be digitized within 2 years. Difficult to manage documents will benefit the most from this digitization project. For example, authors who publish works outside of literary centers are often forgotten. Now these authors will have a second chance to be known to readers.
This digitized book directory will complement the number of ancient printed books that the British Library has allowed online reading through previous projects. Among them are two commercial projects: the Online English Ancient Book and the 18th Century Online Collection. Both collections are provided free of charge to UK training institutes.
Other digital collections in the British Library will soon be added 2 million pages from the 19th century and 1 million 18th century newspapers. Digital publications will be approached in two ways: through tools Live Search Books by Microsoft or via the library website.
While Microsoft is partnering with the British Library, Google is also digitizing a collection of five other prestigious libraries - libraries of three Stanford, Harvard, and Michigan universities; New York public library and Bodleian library in Oxford.
