Dr. Christopher Hsee, a behavioral psychologist and colleagues at the University of Chicago, conducted a study with 98 students. Volunteer students were asked to fill out two questionnaires. After completing the first form, the participants had a 15-minute break before filling in the second form.

To re-submit the first questionnaire to the research team, volunteer students have two options: to place a ballot in a nearby location or a place quite far from their seat. If you place your vote in the distance, the volunteer will have to take a few steps. Not surprisingly, two-thirds of students choose to place their votes near.

After that, scientists continued to ask volunteer students to indicate their satisfaction level after completing the first vote through the second survey. As a result, the team found that Students who choose to submit their ballots far away are the ones who feel happier. Since then, Dr. Christopher has concluded that the busy state makes people feel satisfied with life.

Dr. Christopher Hsee also said that these findings could be suggestions to help leaders find policies to increase the level of happiness of idle citizens: 'The government can increase happiness. of idle citizens by enabling them to be more active ' .

Meanwhile, for each individual, Dr. Hsee advises: 'People should keep themselves in a busy state. You can do anything, even if it doesn't bring about concrete results. Those things will help you be more satisfied with life. '

"To keep me busy, you don't have to work with your hands often, you can simply keep your mind thinking about something."
