Professor Christopher Hsee, a behavioral psychologist at the University of Chicago in the US, invited 98 students to participate in a study. Hsee asked volunteers to fill out two questionnaires. After completing the first coupon, volunteers faced two options: placing a ticket in a nearby place or a place quite far from their seat. If you place your vote in the distance, the volunteer will have to take a few steps.

Telegraph said, two-thirds of students choose to place their votes near.

The second questionnaire asked volunteers to assess the level of fun on a scale after completing the first ticket. The results show that those who choose far away votes have a higher satisfaction score than the other group.

In an article in the journal Psychological Science, Professor Hsee concludes a busy state that makes people feel satisfied with life. This finding, he says, has implications for leaders.

'The government can increase the level of happiness of idle citizens by enabling them to be more active, such as upgrading old bridges,' he said.

For each individual he thinks that people should not let their hands, feet and mind fall into idle for too long.

'After waking up we should find something to do. Whatever it is, even if it doesn't bring about concrete results , 'he said.

But being busy doesn't mean having to do manual labor or studying. According to Hsee, thinking about something is also a busy form.

The professor said he had checked this hypothesis by asking his assistants to do odd jobs and not bring about concrete results. The results show that they feel happier than when they do nothing.
