Implantable cardioverter defibrillator (Photo: VNN) Researchers at Hartford Hospital in Connecticut and the University of Connecticut, USA say the implantable cardioverter defibrillator is designed to help patients at risk of arrhythmia. Long return to normal beats by voltage shock is more effective for men than women.

They tested five people who had to use implantable cardioverter defibrillators, and the results of the device reduced the risk of death-related deaths for men by 24 percent and for women by 12 percent.

Nickole Henyan, head of research and pharmacist at Hartford Hospital, told scientists that this problem cannot explain why men who use defibrillators are more effective than women.

She said the discovery was made at a cardiology conference in the American University of Cardiology that it was necessary to confirm this issue.

Not only this study, but all other studies have also yielded such differences.
