More than 30,000 silver coins were unearthed at a depth of 137 meters at the Roman Baths ruins - many centuries ago was the Roman public bathhouse. This treasure is said to have been from the 3rd century AD.
Archaeologists have found one of the largest Roman coin treasures in the UK.

Stephen Clews - manager of Roman Baths and Pump Room said: "At that time in the Roman Empire existed many uncertainties, so it is understandable why these coins were buried."
According to experts, this is the fifth largest treasure discovered in the UK and the largest treasure discovered in the Roman settlement.
The coins sticking together into a large block were sent to the British Museum for further analysis. However, scientists at the Central Museum of London say it takes up to a year to complete the analysis process.
Roman Baths launched a campaign to earn £ 150,000 in order to preserve and display coins.
In April 2010, Dave Crisp found Britain's largest collection of Roman coins in a field near Frome, Somerset (England).
