Ganoderma is 92cm in diameter and weighs 5.15kg. With this size, Yang can be used as an umbrella when in the sun. The giant mushroom makes many people in the area feel curious and want to see it with their own eyes.
Yang's parents recounted that they were surprised to see such a large size lingzhi. Upon seeing Yang and the mushroom, they imagined Yang as wearing an armor on his back.
According to Shanghaiist, the size of the mushroom has not been determined to be naturally growing or by artificial cultivation. Usually, lingzhi has a diameter of 10-15cm.
Earlier, a giant mushroom with many mushroom clusters was discovered last September in the town of Puxiong, Yunnan province. The mushroom weighs 15kg and has a diameter of 93cm.
