A Singaporean boy was arrested for "using" wireless Internet connection of the house next door. He is likely to be sentenced to 3 years in prison and must compensate USD 6,425 according to the country's law.
Garyl Tan Jia Luo, 17, used a laptop to gain unauthorized access to a home Wi-Fi network on May 13. The neighbor sent a complaint against Luo. He was released on bail with a guarantee amount of 3,855 USD and will have to go to court tomorrow.
Currently, most notebooks and PDA devices are equipped with Wi-Fi technology and can access the Internet with a loose security mode.
