American nutritionists, the Rhodes Islands University, were curious to learn more about sugar-free chewing gum and came to the conclusion that chewing gum is likely to reduce the need for calories, increase the Energy consumption, so it can be used as a weight loss for obese people.
They conducted research on the effects of chewing gum with a group of 35 volunteers, both male and female. They asked volunteers to chew gum continuously for 20 minutes before breakfast and 20 minutes before lunch.
Through nutritional tests, doctors found that people who chew gum before lunch take in food a little less energy than a 67-calorie counterpart and don't need to eat anything to eat. Compensate for that lack of calories throughout the day.
Also, when chewing candy these people also consume 5% more energy. But we already know the excess of energy due to the accumulation of nutrients causing weight gain. Finding ways to reduce the energy that the body recruits is the cause of weight loss methods.
