It is known that IBM will merge Encentuate with Tivoli software division of this group. However, the financial terms of this merger agreement were not disclosed.

According to IDC, in terms of revenue, IBM is the leading provider of access and authentication management security software and Encentuate will add key capabilities to IBM's product portfolio. Encentuate's technology will be provided to customers as part of IBM's management software approach Tivoli (IBM Tivoli Access Manager Suite). IBM aims to combine Encentuate's technology with its security management software such as IBM Tivoli Indentiy Manage authentication software, IBM Tivoli Federated Identity Manager authentication software, IBM Tivoli Compliance Insight Manager and IBM.
