Microsoft has just launched a virtual social network for IT called Aggreg8 last weekend. The purpose of the software giant is to make the site a forum like MySpace for IT professionals to share knowledge with each other.

The IT knowledge exchanged for each other can be command line, programming tools or the best programs, or simply link with other experts with the same expertise.

Aggreg8 has nothing to do with an RSS Reader software project of the same name. Philip Roche, creator of the program, approached Microsoft and asked if he wanted to sell the site's domain name. Both Aggreg8.com and Aggreg8.net sell for $ 5,000, information written by Roche on his blog.

Since then, the RSS Reader software project has been migrated to new domains Aggreg8.org and Aggreg8.co.uk. However, both of these websites have only given the message "will soon work".
