In a move to expand security and system management product lines, on May 2, Microsoft announced two new applications: Forefront Client Security and System Center Essentials 2007.
In a move to expand security and system management product lines, on May 2, Microsoft announced two new applications: Forefront Client Security and System Center Essentials 2007 .
Forefront Client Security is designed to protect PC, laptop and enterprise servers against spyware, viruses and rootkits. Microsoft has introduced this product since October 2005 and test versions have been available about 5 months ago.
Meanwhile, System Center is designed for medium-sized businesses to allow IT managers to view and manage enterprise servers, clients, hardware, software and services from one individual system.
Microsoft has also launched several products under the Forefront brand name, including Forefront Security for Exchange Server and Forefront Security for SharePoint. These products were Microsoft 's merger with Sybari Software since 2005. Microsoft began using the Forefront product brand name since the summer of last year.
