After 10 years of follow-up, 10% of people with a history of migraine with symptoms of glare or blurred vision developed cardiovascular diseases.

The risk of cardiovascular disease when you get older is doubled in people with chronic migraine. However, the risk did not increase significantly in the migraine group but did not have dizziness.

There is a theory that some people with migraine and congenital heart disease increase the risk of blood clots circulating in the brain, causing a stroke.
