HKEPC said that NVIDIA's new Graphics Processing Unit (GPU) with G73-B1 code will be available in September.
This is the company's first GPU to use 80 nm technology and is considered to be competing with ATI's Radeon X1650 chip.
The world's leading GPU manufacturer is expected to offer two variants of G73-B1.

The first form will have the same architecture as the normal G73 GPU and have pins that are compatible with current boards. This makes G73-B1 easy to take advantage of cooling technologies and card design like the 7600GS series. At present, the company has not revealed the clock of G73-B1.
The second line of chips with G73-H-B1 code carries more functions for entertainment in the home and will be sold as OEM products. G73-H-B1 integrates the ability to support HDMI and HDCP right in the core, resulting in a reduction in cost compared to using an additional Silicon Image HDMI chip. According to known information, NVIDIA does not intend to produce G73-H-B1 cards in 'retail' form.
The company has not mentioned whether G73-H-B1 will have advanced video decoding functions like in ATI's RV550 GPU. Currently, some graphics card manufacturers like MSI have released cards using the GPU 7600GT with HDMI ports with Silicon Image HDMI and HDCP chips.
