Determined to "lose enough" with Microsoft, shortly after Microsoft Writer was released, Google also introduced its latest service user, Google Writely, allowing users to create online documents like using MS Word.

Writely is a website that provides word processing services that have been tested since August 2005 by Upstartle. This service was immediately noticed by the convenience of its users. Based on improved programming code, Web 2.0 and Ajax, Writely allows multiple people to be able to operate on a document at the same time, backing up documents securely every 10 seconds and the interface is simple and easy to use. without having to download any software.

Writely supports many popular text formats such as .sxw, .odt, .rtf Rich Text, HTML and PDF from programs like MS Word, StarOffice / OpenOffice. The Writely interface fully supports functions such as creating tables, inserting images, colors, links, font formatting, HTML source code editing and many other word processing options arranged on. toolbar, menu and menu right-click or via keyboard shortcuts.

Mountain View also added a blog publishing option. Users can compose blog, publish easily and edit as needed. You can even insert category labels. Google has officially announced the service and allowed free registration to use at Writely .

In 2006, Google was really 'reaching out' with its 'Web Office' suite, including Google Calendar, which is also in beta. Online utilities give users more convenience, which can bring both 'offices' online to users.
