The case file was filed with the East Texas District Court yesterday (August 6). Accordingly, Sharp requires a lawsuit to be brought to trial and requires Samsung to pay damages.

Sharp holds a lot of technology copyrights related to LCD screens in Japan, the US and some other countries. This is the result of research efforts from the company and also helps the company to earn a huge amount of revenue from licensing licenses.

Sharp and Samsung have been conducting negotiations over the licensing of LCD technology for many years since 2006, but unfortunately everything cannot be resolved on the negotiating table. The last incident was brought before the court.
