Despite the cold weather, the clear waters of a strange stream in Xinjiang, China have never been frozen.
In the southwestern region of the Altai Mountains in Xinjiang, China has a beautiful maple forest. Its wildness in the winter has attracted a lot of interest from professional photographers.
This forest becomes even more special thanks to a strange stream called "never freezing".
As its name suggests, this small stream of water has never been frozen during the four seasons of the year, no matter how cold the weather is. Even when the temperature drops very low, at -43.5 degrees Celsius, even though the snowflakes have gathered into large blocks falling into the stream surface, the water here still shows no signs of freezing.
Water in streams of 2km long and about 3m wide is always clear enough to see the bottom and can be taken directly without boiling.
The strange stream with clear water never freezes attracted great attention of Chinese public opinion.
