The 'engineer' barefoot built a generator

He made a generator with wind power, failed several times, his wife and nephew, friends, neighbors said "crazy guy", but he persisted and finally released a power generator wind four propeller.

After the initial success, Mr. Tran Thanh Thanh (living in Hamlet 3, Binh Thoi commune, Binh Dai, Ben Tre) continued to improve the four-rotor generator into a ten-pumped left-handed propeller generator adapted to all things. to sue.

From the strong wind to the gentle wind, the machine still emits heavenly power. He was awarded the Youth Innovation Award by the Central Union for this product.

Not discouraged

Mr. Thanh said the idea of making a generator from the wind appeared from an electric bicycle ride, to power off the energy stored in the battery, he pedaled a piece of the car and got electricity to take him to the destination. .

The turning action that could generate electricity prompted him to build a wind generator, regardless of the daily power source during the dry season or the whole day.

Starting to build machines, every start is not simple. Due to the poor family conditions, the house was crowded, his educational path stopped at grade 9. With that knowledge, it was unbelievable to create a generator, but his passion was bright. created has always motivated him to make his idea of a generator.

Mr. Thanh spent his time studying tinkering and failed because he failed to calculate the deviation of the rotor to receive the amount of wind that created the current.

When correcting the deflection to get more wind power, the propeller repeatedly breaks when the wind is strong. By the time the weight of the wind is balanced, the electric circuit is burnt .

Neighbors and friends saw him fail, laughing at him as a 'crazy guy'. His family now grumbles to say why not worry about doing business with his wife and children but it takes a lot of time to work!

Hearing the criticism, sometimes Mr. Thanh was also discouraged but then his self-love made him not give up. He told me when the 'propeller' was down, he waited for the empty neighbor to sneak into the house to fix it.

Continuous improvement

After many failures, Mr. Thanh learned from experience to complete a generator with four tail-mounted propellers. Each rotor is 80cm long and the diameter is about 30cm. This wind generator connects to turbines and batteries leading to electrical appliances in the home.

With this four-rotor generator, when the tank is full, it can provide enough electricity for lighting, fans, and refrigerators.

However, the machine still has disadvantages: when the wind is weak or the wind is turning upwards, the rotating impeller is late for the beat without creating a continuous power source. He came up with a solution that needed a multidimensional windmill and he tried to build a machine with a fan in the shape of a pumpkin.

And he successfully. The pumpkin shaped generator consists of ten wings, 2 meters in diameter, the machine receives wind and catches stronger wind. The power from the wind is fed into the storage battery and passed to the electric transformer into 220V current for use.

With a generator of wind energy, the power source is enough to supply household appliances such as lights, fans, air conditioners, televisions, irons (except air-conditioners). The machine adapts to every land area, only the ground is required to be 1m2 wide and 6-7m high, each household can install a wind power generator in the space of no trees.

The best generator is in windy waters. The machine can lift higher capacity with 5m diameter impeller. Mr. Thanh's pumpkin shaped generator has three colors: white, blue, red or stainless steel according to consumer requirements.

With a four-propeller generator, Mr. Thanh was awarded the Youth Innovation Award in 2011 by the Central Youth Union and Vietnam Television (VTV2) for the first prize by the audience. In 2014, the National Office of Intellectual Property certified products of wind power generators (pumpkin shaped machines) produced by Mr. Tran Thanh Thanh.
