The noodles are 'full long'
North Korean scientists say they have produced a kind of noodle that helps long-term eaters feel hungry.
According to the Japanese daily Choson Shinbo, this type of noodles is made from cereals and soybeans. It contains more than twice as much protein as regular noodles, and is five times more fat, making people feel fuller for longer and is said to be a technological breakthrough.
According to the newspaper, 'long-no' noodles will soon be sold widely in the North Korean market.
North Korea faces food shortages for nearly 10 years and is now relying on foreign food aid. Last month, the World Food Program warned that 6 million people in North Korea are in need of emergency food aid after a severe flood last year.
