Expert Mark Lemmon, who planned the survey for Curiosity, explained that the cause of the sunset on Mars is green because of the dust particles in the atmosphere.
"This color is formed by dust particles of a size suitable for blue light to penetrate the atmosphere more effectively. When blue light is scattered by dust, it will be closer to the Sun than The color of the sky is different, the rest of the sky is yellow to orange, because the yellow and red light scattered throughout the sky, instead of being absorbed or near the Sun " , NY Daily News quoted Lemmon as saying.
The Curiosity probe landed on the Martian surface in August 2012 . It is the task of discovering the mystery of the red planet and looking for signs of life here.
