The US helps Vietnam improve its HIV / AIDS management capacity
On June 12, according to the US Consulate in Ho Chi Minh City, 71 health workers from 24 provinces completed a six-month training program on application management for HIV / AIDS care.

This course is held in Hanoi, Da Nang and Ho Chi Minh City, from January 2007. The focus of management training is to help health workers collect and use simple medical and health data. Thereby, HIV / AIDS services will be continuously improved in quality, with the goal of controlling the spread of this epidemic in Vietnam through effective prevention, treatment and care.
The training was funded by CDC's Global AIDS Program under the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) as part of the President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief. (PEPFAR) in Vietnam.
The cooperative training program between the US and Vietnam will expand the scope of the program to 49 provinces in the coming year.
