Phoenix Tower is the ambition of architects working at Chetwoods, a design company based in London, England. It is hoped that Phoenix will not only match the tallest building in the world of Burj Khalifa in the Emirate of Dubai but also become the most environmentally friendly building, CNN reported.
Under the plan, the construction site of the Phoenix building is located in Wuhan City, the capital of China's Hubei Province. The building will have the function of cleaning air and water in the surrounding areas.Once completed, it will become a sightseeing destination for tourists inside and outside China.
Chairman of Chetwoods, Mr. Laurie Chetwood, said that this high-rise project is more meaningful than a normal construction project. It will pioneer natural friendly buildings, improve the living conditions of people in urban areas.
The architects built a heat chimney in the tallest tower. The sun will heat it to suck in fresh air from the service lakes to cool the buildings. The air will be filtered for cleaner before being released to the environment.Similar technology is applied to water in reservoirs.
Artically, the Phoenix Twin Towers are stylized figures of birds or dragons in Chinese culture. Two tall and low towers represent a pair of birds or a pair of dragons. It represents the designer symbiotic idea.
The biggest challenge with this unique project is the method of building giant spheres suspended in the space between the two towers. They represent planets in the solar system.Experts are calculating construction methods to officially start this project in 2016.
