Hundreds of households in area 7, Phu Loc town (Phu Loc district) suffer from heavy pollution due to the landfill located in the middle of the residential area which has been causing for many years (photo). The smell rises all day and the well water has turned black, unusable.
Hundreds of households in area 7, Phu Loc town (Phu Loc district) suffer from heavy pollution due to the landfill located in the middle of the residential area which has been causing for many years (photo) . The smell rises all day and the well water has turned black, unusable.
This landfill was formed in 2002, located at the head of the water source, next to the road leading to the residential area, which is the garbage dump of people in Phu Loc town.
Mr. Vo Huu Trung - Head of Region 7 - said at first the Town People's Committee said that it only used temporary landfill, but more than three years now, waste is getting more and more polluted. Mr. Cai Minh - Chairman of Phu Loc Town People's Committee - said he received a lot of petition letters from the people and confirmed the complaints of the people were correct. But due to lack of funding, the Town People's Committee cannot move the landfill to another place.
