Vietnam won the international Robocon bronze medal

Student team of Lac Hong University of Vietnam together with the team of Batam Polytechnic University (Indonesia) won the bronze medal of the Asia-Pacific Robot Prize.

The prize was named ABU 2011 (ABU Robocon 2011), held at the Muong Thong Thani exhibition center in Thailand, with 18 participating countries.

Thai I team belongs to Dhurakij Pundit University and Thailand II team at Kampaengphet Technical College, won a gold medal and a silver medal.

Vietnam team also received more Toyota prizes. The awards are given today.

The Robocon 2011 tournament took place from August 27, with the participation of 19 representative teams of universities or technical colleges of 18 countries in the region; including two teams of Russian schools, Saratov National University of Technology and Laos of the College of Management and Technology for the first time.

The quarter-final matches, semi-finals and finals were quite tense with the participation of teams from Indonesia, Laos, Japan, Vietnam, Thailand, Mongolia .

The Vietnamese delegation - including three students of Lac Hong University, Bui Van Dat, Nguyen Tien Dung, Nguyen Chien Thang and three other auxiliary students - passed teams of universities of Fiji and Turkey. in qualifying and the Lao College of Management and Technology in the quarterfinals.

ABU Robocon, organized by the Asia-Pacific Broadcast and Broadcasting Association (ABU) since 2002, aims to develop creative skills, inventions and new ways of learning for young people Time to help them have conditions to strengthen their understanding and close relationships with each other.

This tournament takes place alternately in the annual and yearly member countries held in Thailand under the theme 'Flower Lantern Festival: Lighting Happiness with Friendship.'

In addition to the aforementioned prizes, the organizers also awarded the ABU Robocon Award for the best technology solution, the best idea, the best technical design, the best design.

Last year Lac Hong University team won the silver medal in Cairo, Egypt.
