The image designed for a science and technology city located in the middle of a mountain valley is called the " silicon valley" of China - Mentougou city, 30km west of Beijing.
The entire design is carried out by Dutch architectural firm Erikson, based on the first criterion of balancing carbon emissions, conserving water resources and the environment, using renewable energy, providing housing. and facilities for all staff and visitors.
The city has an area of 100 km2, including 9 environmental research institutes, companies, a central area and small residential areas with enough space for 50,000 people.
The whole center is linked by public transport system. The architecture and location of the building will be based on natural terrain. This eco-city will be self-sufficient in water and recycle and return it to nature to promote agriculture, meeting people's needs.
TP ProjectMentougou studied previous eco-city projects like Huangbaiyu, Masdar and Dong Tan.
The project is awaiting approval by the Chinese government. If approved, developers will seek potential business and investment partners.
The eco-city lies entirely in the mountain valley.
