Why is the PS3 still hiding behind the PS2's shadow?

Although it has been in Vietnam for a while, the PlayStation 3 games are still quite strange to many gamers. Many people who love video games are still skeptical about the " attractiveness " of this product and appreciate that it is difficult to overcome the giant shadow of PS2's " brother " in our country's game market. So what is the cause?

Having been introduced to Vietnam since 1998, the first PlayStation has been well known and enthusiastically received by gamers. Going through ups and downs, the first PS system retreated and ceded to the PS2 market. From the early days (2002), Sony's new product has captured the hearts of many gamers because of its new features and outstanding images. Games like football, Final Fantasy or Three Kingdoms are the number one choice for many people.

Not satisfied with what is available, Sony decided to release the PS3 model with the ambition to create a new turning point in the game village. With superior quality, image and sound, it seems that the ambition of leading Japanese electronics company is within reach. However, a huge obstacle has arisen with Sony, which is the cost. To own this amazing device, gamers will have to pay 599 USD in the United States, but when it comes to Europe it is 777 USD. Gamers in the UK are even more in pain when they pay $ 836 to own a new Sony product. Fans in Oceania also suffer from the same situation. On the Australian market, the price is 781 USD and to New Zealand, the equipment is up to 840 USD. In Vietnam, the price of this machine is up to 22 million VND.

In addition, the PS3 is a system that cannot be cracked, so gamers are forced to play games on genuine CDs at a price that is not "pleasant" at all (1.1 million / disk). This is a "condition" that not all gamers can accept. Besides, the most expensive gaming machine in history has no dedicated football game yet. When players want to "run" on the pitch and players, they must play on Fifa 07 - a game that cannot "stand on par" with PS2 football games. As for the Three Kingdoms, Fantasy games, gamers will lessen the real feeling when the PS3 handle has "lost" the vibration mode.

Perhaps to usurp the "older brother" and create a new "golden age", Sony's "pride" must fill the "shortcomings" mentioned above.
