WiMax has many security flaws

Contrary to the hope of the majority of the user community, WiMax technology also has many security flaws, ABI Research said.
" If we can't learn from past lessons, maybe we can make those mistakes ," said ABI Vice President Stan Schatt.
" Customers participating in WiMax technology testing may have had a false sense of security of WiMax technology. The flag can completely overturn the emergence of malicious codes ."
"The praiseworthy WiMax Forum WiMax has a much higher level of security than Wi-Fi technology. Perhaps that's why users have a false sense of WiMax security ."
Vice President Schatt warned that security flaws will begin to show up once WiMax is officially deployed on a large scale.
According to Mr. Schatt, WiMax security field can be divided into 3 different groups, including end-user devices, unauthorized intrusion and connection service network.
End-user devices need to be equipped with encryption acceleration technologies to help resolve AES processing commands faster. Meanwhile, the network connection service that exists at the edge of WiMax network will be the ideal location to allow carriers to integrate anti-intrusion technologies or security hardware software.
ABI's latest research report confirms the need to deploy firewall software or advanced firewall applications as well as external ring servers on connection service network systems to handle requests. Diversified connection authentication.
In addition, a problem with companies that accept WiMax technology is that there must be enough qualified human resources internally. There are only a few companies that meet this requirement.
Thus, experts had to soon warn about security issues that WiMax might face even if the technology has not yet been deployed widely. Security is a battle that hasn't ended yet because the goal of hackers and cyber criminals is dark profits. New technology does not mean there is no gap. As for the vulnerability, the cyber criminals still have the land to live.
