Yahoo lost in China

The Beijing People's Court on April 24 forced Yahoo China to pay $ 27,000 to plaintiffs suing the company for copyright infringement, including Warner Music Group, BMG, and Universal.
Immediately after the ruling, Yahoo issued a statement saying it will appeal. The firm argues that it has done everything possible to protect intellectual property rights, and that it is not responsible for the content on third-party sites.
It is worth noting that in November last year, the court tried a similar lawsuit but the winning result was in favor of Baidu.com, China's largest search site. Yahoo had hoped to win the case according to what the court had ruled before.
It is still unclear why the court ruled out a different decision from the previous one. However, the court representative also acknowledged that Yahoo is not entirely responsible for the behavior, although it has allowed connection to pirated music sites.
