20 people died of typhoons in Japan

At least 20 people were killed and 50 people were missing in Japan after Typhoon Talas hit the western and central parts of the country.

The AP reported that Talas stormed into Japan during the weekend with a wind speed of about 108 km / h. It carries rain in many cities, swept away vehicles and destroyed many houses.

460,000 people were evacuated to avoid storms, but at least 3,600 people were stranded because of floods, landslides and bridge collapses. Local media reported that at least 20 people died and 50 were missing because of the storm.

NHK broadcaster shows a bridge on the Nachi River in Wakayama City swept away by the fast flowing river, and people hold umbrellas and wade on the streets.

The Yomiuri newspaper said Talas was the strongest storm since 2004. The storm in the storm reached a record in many areas.

Japan Meteorological Agency announced that Talas has weakened and moved to the sea. However, heavy rain and strong winds will continue to rage, increasing the risk of flooding and landslides.
