China successfully launched the North Dau satellite

On the morning of April 14, China successfully launched Bac Dau satellite with Truong Chinh rocket (photo) from the Tay Xuong Satellite Launch Center in Sichuan Province (Southwest China). The Bac Dau satellite then went into orbit at an altitude of 21,500km.

Bac Dau satellite system consists of at least 35 satellites, mainly built to develop China's economy through the study of traffic, meteorology, oil search, forest fire control and warning. natural disasters, telecommunications and public security . China hopes to bring this satellite system into service, serving customers nationwide and neighboring countries in 2008.

It is expected that this system (with the launch of more satellites into orbit next year) after deploying across China and neighboring countries will be expanded to join the maritime network and locate the global space. . On February 3, China also successfully launched the North Dau satellite into orbit, the fourth test since 2000.
