Check the code to change the battery. Yesterday, US computer group announced to recall about 22,000 batteries used in notebooks of its Latitude, Inspiron and Precision line in the US and 13,000 others in the world.

These batteries, sold independently as replacement products for $ 99- 179, are manufactured in Japan and China between October 5, 2004 and October 13, 2005.

The US Home Safety Commission and Dell recommend customers to stop using the product immediately until specific instructions are given. The group in Round Rock, Texas, has recorded three cases of over-active batteries, damaging the device and minimizing user impact, but no casualties have occurred.

Dell recommends that customers contact the company, submit the pin code to determine if it is a free replacement type. For details see the company's website.

Last year, Dell also recalled 4.4 million adapters (adapters) in laptops worldwide.
