According to Tran Dac Phu, Director of Preventive Medicine, it is worth noting that the number of patients in the Northern provinces this year increased by 763% compared to the same period last year. Compared to other localities, in the first 6 months, the number of dengue patients in the North is not the highest, but the growth rate is fast and is considered abnormal by medical experts.

Ho Chi Minh City tops the country with 9,538 patients, followed by Da Nang, Binh Duong, Hanoi and An Giang. In the Central region, the number of cases decreased by 10% compared to the same period last year but increased locally in some provinces of Da Nang, Quang Nam, Binh Thuan and Quang Ngai.
