Scientists have recently concluded that the dinosaur fossil found in 2008 belongs to a completely new giant dinosaur.

Discover new giant dinosaurs

Scientists claim they have discovered a new dinosaur, considered one of the largest species on the planet , after studying the mysterious fossil found in 2008 in a single expedition on the banks of the Kiya River, near the village of Shestakovo in Kemerovo region of southwestern Siberia.

The team identified the giant animal that lived on Earth 100 million years ago, estimated to weigh 100 tons, 20 meters high, 40 meters long - the equivalent of nine two-tier buses.

Initially, experts at Tomsk University (Russia) argued that the skeleton of the "giant herbivore ", but further analysis showed that this could be a 'mysterious' creature that had never been studied. This new species will be named Sibirosaurus.

Previously, scientists have found fossil bones of a dinosaur that is said to be the largest animal that ever appeared on Earth, 40 meters long and 20 meters high, in Argentina. They believe this is a new species of giant dinosaur - a herbivorous dinosaur that lived in the late Cretaceous period.

Based on the large femur, researchers believe that the newly discovered dinosaur is 40 m long and 20 m high. Weighing in at 77 tons, it weighs the equivalent of 14 African elephants and weighs 7 tons more than the world's largest known animal, the Argentinosaurus dinosaur.

The team found incomplete skeletons of 7 individuals - a total of 150 bone fragments, all in conditions that were relatively intact. This giant dinosaur used to live in Patagonia forest areas between 95 and 100 million years ago , based on the age of the rocks that bone fragments were found in.
