Feeding a newborn baby weighing 3 ounces

After nearly four months of waiting, Tamera Dixon, the big girl who was not filled with a can of soda when she was born on April 25, was ready to return home. Considered one of the youngest children ever born in the state of New Jersey, USA, she spent the majority of her life in an incubator.

Tamera is only 300 grams heavier and 25 cm long when born after 6 months in the womb. Now, when she weighs more than 2 kg, doctors allow her to return to her family.

"It's a miracle, she's a miracle," her mother, Andrea Haws, said with a smile on her face. "Since I was born, I think everyone knows she is a warrior," she said. "She seems to be a little hot-tempered girl".

Tamera was born with a caesarean birth method at the age of 25, which is 15 weeks earlier than the normal pregnancy cycle.

Haws had complications during pregnancy, but when her kidneys showed signs of failure and Tamera stopped growing, doctors decided she could no longer extend the pregnancy. Haws, now 40, spent most of his time at Health System Hospital's special neonatal department to visit a child she said was "not like a human being" at times.

Now everything has changed for Tamera. On Thursday, while wearing a pink shirt and twisting her body on the nurse's hand, gazing around, small size was the only sign of her difficult past.

Dr Stephen Moffitt, who cares for Tamera, said he was optimistic that she would grow normally."Now he can breathe perfectly ," he said.

The doctors said Tamera had only 10-15% chance of surviving before being born.
