Australian and Vietnamese scientists have just discovered the white-eyed toad-eyebrow Leptobrachium leucops in Zootaxa 2804: 25–40 (2011). The toad species was discovered in the evergreen forest, at an elevation of about 1558 - 1900 m, on the Langbian plateau, within the boundary between Lam Dong and Khanh Hoa provinces.

Leptobrachium leucops has a rather stout, slightly tapered body towards the hip. The head is wide and flat (the length and width are close to each other); round muzzle (in the direction of the abdomen) and inclined slope (in the lateral direction), with a length nearly equal to the eye diameter; the nose is closer to the muzzle near the eyes; eyes large, slightly protruding, the distance between the eyes is close to the width of the eyelid; The eardrum is not clear, round.
